Fun, fun, fun

Fun describes our last two weeks. Busy, but fun. And with cousin Lexi coming to town in a few short days we are only going to have more fun!

Since we have started swim lessons we have tried to go to the neighborhood pool to practice our "skills". Well the other day I told Mark we were going to the pool and he ran off and found the sunscreen I had laid out to take and attempted to put some on. Then he tried to put some on Rocky and then Mobley, and finally Daddy. Luckily (for the dogs mostly) Marks' version of putting on sunscreen consists of laying the bottle on you. Anyway, he LOVES the pool. And is fearless. And I don't know if that comes with being a boy or if he is still just too young to understand to be afraid. Either way we have him loaded up with all sorts of floating devices to make sure his head stays above water. I'm surprised he can actually move once we've got him all strapped together! I'll have to get a picture of that sometime. Here he is "putting on" sunscreen.

Mark's buddy Leyton came over the other day and I forgot to snap pics of the two of them playing (or stealing toys from one another). But after Leyton left Mark went to his room, got a blanket off his bed, and laid down in front of me in the middle of the floor. I guess that was how he decided to tell me he was ready for nap time!

Father's Day tradtion #1:
Krispy Kreme Donuts

We went to Krispy Kreme for the 2nd year running and this year Mark got to eat a donut too! He's never had one before and wasn't to sure of it at first but at one point he stuffed two pieces in at once. Luckily, he still ditched the rest of his donut once I brought out the blueberries. I swear I think the kids gonna turn into a piece of fruit! Here is a pic from this year..

and a comparison pic from last year! crazy how fast they grow!
The other day we had a baby shower for baby Jackson and afterwards Jackson's daddy, uncle B, stopped by. In the pic below they show off the W for Wingerter. (...oh.....also for Wilks) =)

We also went to John's company picnic and it was at Discoveryland this year. Too cool! First, Mark jumped in a Jupiter Jump for the first time ever. You've got to enlarge this pic to see the sheer joy on his face.

Soon our good buddy Britton showed up to jump too!

And last but not least ...Leyton!

Mark and Leyton were constantly in the recovery stage while jumping. What I mean is they would no sooner stand up when Britton would jump by or they would try to take a step or maybe a breeze would blow and face first they went again bouncing and rolling. Then the strenuous process of attempting to stand again and this cycle repeated over and over and over. It was hysterical. Anyway, after jumping we had a bar-b-que dinner and then a pony ride. I'm not showing the pics of Mark on the pony because the one shot we got is right when the pony threw its head back with a wild look in his eyes. You al would think I'm the worst mother ever putting my child on a wild stallion or something! Lastly we went to the show. Mark loved the singing and dancing and loved to clap and dance. Here he is clapping.
