Time Flies

Yes, time flies. I haven't posted in three months and there are too many pictures to chose from! The main things that have happened since February are that Kate turned one and John and I took a trip to Kauai! I went to a Wilderness Medicine Conference in Kauai to earn a little CME credit, and John as the dutiful husband that he is didn't let me travel all that way alone! We had a great relaxing trip. Gam and Pops stayed here with the kids and I must say, Kate didn't mind one bit. While Mark loves to wrestle and read books with Pops, Kate sure loves her Gam.

This is inside the Grand Hyatt where we stayed.  The weather there is so nice that everything inside is actually outside half the time.  Even the walk through the airport from one terminal to another leads you outside, only, you're still really inside.  Oh how I would love the weather here to be like that!

This ia a spectacular view of some of the west coast from our helicpoter tour.  Breath-taking, amazing, beautiful, but ultimately I think that money would have been better spent at the spa.  Especially since I vomited my way through the 60 minute ride!

She's one!!!  And walking!  Kate is still our little sweet pea. We keep waiting for the terrible toddler-ness to hit but so far she is still a happy little squirt.  But don't worry, she lets you know if she's mad!  She can fight back if Mark is bugging here and throw little fits here and there too!  Kate LOVES to be outside.  In fact that is most often when you hear her whine, if she thinks you are going outside without her.  She loves the dogs and hugs on them a lot and giggles when she sees them.  She loves sidewalk chalk and she loves to dance and sing.  She shakes her little booty anytime she hears music!  She is a picky but good eater.  She loves all fruit, life cereal, cheese, and water is her favorite drink.  She is a champ napper and night-time sleeper.  Sometimes she giggles and jumps up and down in your arms when you tell her its nap time.  She grabs her minky bunny, inserts the right thumb, and she's out.  She has loved Mrs. Kathy's but tomorrow is her last day.  She starts at Riverfied in the Butterfly class next week!

She ate a LOT of her birthday cake.  And rubbed it in her hair, on her face, and on her clothes!  She had to go straight to bath to get all that greasy icing off!

Mark and Leyton are playing soccer again and this season they do little scrimages and for the first time wear shin guards and soccer cleats.  I think Mark looks soooooo much like John did when he was younger.

Easter Sunday!  They dress up pretty nice I think!

Tomorrow is the last day of school.  This is a pic Mark's teachers took of him at the beginning of the year.  He has really grown up!  He looks so much older to me now!
