Cousin Lexi

This past week Aunt Brandee and cousin Lexi were in from Norway. We hadn't seen them in several months so we tried to spend as much time as possible together. They really came in for our grandpa's 80th birthday party but we were able to celebrate the fourth of July and an early birthday party for Aunt Brandee all in one week. And I only had 3 days off the entire time they were here so it was jam-packed. (Speaking of jam, did you know door jamb is spelled with a "b"? At work the other day there was a sign that said "wet paint on door jamb" and I was thinking how funny it was that the painters spelled jam wrong. But I looked it up and they were right! Am I the only one that didn't know that?) Anyway, as you can see Mark and Lexi were checking each other out. Lexi was so sweet to Mark, giving him kisses, sharing her puppy Harley, and giving some love pats (sometimes not so soft!)

It was so funny to see Mark and Lexi side by side because she is a little squirt for her age and he seems to be chunking up lately so they look almost the same size. Well she is obviously longer but not that much heavier, in fact they are wearing the same size diapers now!

So have you ever seen such happy grandparents? I thought this picture was hysterical! You know, no wonder Mark always has that "deer in the headlight" look. If everywhere you turned someone was staring at you with an open-mouth enormous smile you'd probably be a little surprised too! =)

Mark Thomas loves it when we make funny faces with him...he just talks and talks and talks - Grams.
